Battery Council

MISSION

The Battery Council was created to bring together individuals who are committed to and engaged in the life of
The Battery. Council members support the design, revitalization, and preservation of the park’s 25 acres, which boasts North America’s largest free public perennial gardens and welcomes more than six million visitors per year.

LEADERSHIP

The Battery Council provides annual unrestricted leadership support to The Battery Conservancy. This support sustains the $116 million of private and public investment which has already transformed The Battery into one of New York City’s most visited parks. Members include the Board of Trustees, the President of The Battery Conservancy, corporate leaders, and philanthropic individuals committed to ensuring that the historical relevance and beauty of this first waterfront park continues to be the dynamic gateway to New York City.
