Our eighth annual Battery Gardeners luncheon honored our own Sigrid Gray, The Battery Conservancy’s Director of Horticulture, on her first 15 years of outstanding service. The luncheon also featured remarks from Page Dickey, renowned garden designer and author, who reflected on her own memories of the Battery over the last 15 years. Each guest received the 2011 limited edition terra cotta pot created by artisans from Impruneta, Italy, and our table sponsors received a personally inscribed copy of Page Dickey’s new book, Embroidered Ground: Revisiting the Garden. The luncheon raised much needed funds t0 support the work of our dedicated and talented gardeners.
