Warrie Price, Battery Conservancy President & Founder will offer stories, lessons, and future plans at The Battery inspired by her mentor and friend, Lady Bird Johnson. Her quest to bring nature’s beauty to sustain all Americans is as relevant today as it was on October 22, 1965, with the signing of the Highway Beautification Act.
To honor two decades of achievement, we are grateful to the Bisignano Family for their generous underwriting of the Luncheon so that 100% of your gift supports our dedicated gardeners. As is our tradition, we thank our donors with a handmade terra cotta pot. This year it’s The Anniversary Pot to add to your collection.
Join us June 2023 for The Battery’s annual celebration to sustain the park as a thriving as a model of conservation and biodiversity with vast gardens, organic urban farms, toxin-free lawns, spectacular SeaGlass, and now the Battery Playscape. 100% of the park’s maintenance, gardens, and educational programming is funded through private contributions.
June 2022 Battery Gala celebrated Battery Playscape, which inspired a site-specific dance by Parsons Dance, performed by Ballet Tech the NYC Public School for Dance, with aerial puppetry designed by award winning puppeteer Hobey Ford.
