SUMMARY:The Battery's Winter Waterfowl with NYC Audubon
DESCRIPTION:Join us for Bird Walks in The Battery with NYC Audubon!\nExplore the diverse wintering birds that find food and habitat on The Battery’s waterfront\, such as ducks\, geese\, loons\, grebes\, and gulls. We might even spot a seal!\n\nThe walk will be led by Gabriel Willow\, an educator from NYC Audubon. Gabriel is an experienced birder and naturalist\, and is well-versed in the ecology and history of New York City. He has been leading walks for NYC Audubon for more than ten years\, guiding new and experienced birders in all five boroughs and beyond.\n\nMeet at the Netherlands Memorial Flag Pole located at the entrance to the park on the corner of Broadway\, Battery Place\, and State Street. After the walk\, we hope you will linger to enjoy The Battery’s 4-season perennial garden designed by Master Plantsman Piet Oudolf.\n\nThe Battery is located at the southern tip of Manhattan. Take the 1 train to South Ferry\, the R train to Whitehall Street\, or the 4 or 5 train to Bowling Green.
