June 29, 11am: Summer Ornamental Plants in The Battery: Community Gardeners can stroll through the park with The Battery Conservancy’s Chief Horticulturalist and learn the common and scientific names, identification features, cultural requirements and ornamental values of our herbaceous, perennial plants. The workshop will take place in the beautiful Piet Oudolf-designed perennial gardens throughout The Battery. RSVP required. FREE. www.thebattery.org/programs.
